Welcome to 2 Week Adventures

We’re Kasia & Jasmine — a couple who believes travel is one of life’s greatest joys. Our journey began at a club in Birmingham, UK, and six years later, we rekindled our connection and embarked on unforgettable trips together. While Kasia has always had a deep love for travel, Jasmine’s experience was mostly limited to work trips and the occasional holiday. However, together, we discovered the magic of travel as a couple, and now it’s the highlight of our lives.

We invite you to explore the world with us – from the vibrant streets of Brighton to the hidden gems of international destinations. Our hope is that, through our posts, you’ll feel inspired, empowered, and excited to travel in your own way. Whether you’re a seasoned traveller or someone who’s just starting out, we’re here to share our experiences and support you on your journey.

Happy travels,
Kasia & Jasmine 🌈

We recently spent time at H10 Suites Lanzarote Gardens in Costa Teguise and came away with a bunch of great memories and a couple of “huh” moments. This place is clearly made for families, but there is plenty for couples and solo travellers, too. Here is the lowdown on what worked, what did not, and whether it is worth your next Lanzarote getaway. Feeling Welcome Right off the bat, we felt totally at ease as an LGBT couple. The team at reception greeted us with smiles, and we never once sensed anything but friendliness. The whole resort buzzes with a family-friendly, laid-back energy during the day. After sundown, though, things quieten down, more on that later. Our Room @2week_adventures Enjoy the room tour from @H10 Hotels Costa Teguise. Honestly not seen a room with so many amenities in Teguise so far. #Lanzarote #CostaTeguise #Teguise #holiday #vacation #H10 #hotel #room #roomtour #travellife #coupletravel #travel #traveling #traveltiktok #traveltok #lesbiantraveluk #twoweekadventures ♬ I Think I Like When It Rains – WILLIS We stayed in a standard suite and loved how roomy it was. Having both a lounge and a separate bedroom, plus balconies off each, felt almost like a mini-apartment. The bed was a dream (seriously, kudos to whoever picked that mattress). The kitchenette with fridge and freezer made it easy to keep drinks cold or whip up a snack. And the bathroom? Big enough that you did not feel cramped, with solid toiletries included. Eats & Drinks All-inclusive at H10 is surprisingly solid. Buffet meals had enough variety to keep things interesting, but the real star was the poolside snack bar. Made-to-order lunches think fresh fish or tapas-style bites felt like a proper upgrade on hotel grub. Cocktails were plentiful and well mixed, though service at the bar did slow down when it got busy. Daytime Fun vs Evening Chill Daytime activities deserve a high-five. We joined in on a few games, and Jasmine even walked away with a prize at one of the lunchtime challenges. It is a great way to meet folks and have a laugh. After sunset, though, the focus shifts almost entirely to kids. Mini disco as standard but then shows that pretty much just entertain the children. The certificate ceremonies are adorable, but adults brought on stage amongst waves of children and then are left wanting into the evening. Pools, Gym & Spa There are a handful of pools to choose from, including a heated one. Fair warning, the heated pool turns into a playground for little ones and their parents, so if you are after a peaceful float, you might need to hunt out the quiet corners. The main pool area stays neat and tidy, with plenty of loungers. The gym was surprisingly well-equipped and spotless, and the spa looked really inviting even though we did not have time to try it ourselves. Is It Worth It? Here is the thing: H10 Suites Lanzarote Gardens ticks a lot of boxes. The rooms are spacious, the team is friendly, and the food hits the spot. But you might pay a bit more here than at nearby spots like Los Zocos or HD Resort without getting a massive upgrade. If you crave that apartment-style suite and solid all-inclusive in a reliable brand, it is a good pick. If you are hunting for evening buzz or the best bang-for-buck in March, you might find better deals elsewhere. Want to check it out for yourself? Our Ratings: Inclusivity & Atmosphere: 9/10: Welcoming staff and a warm vibe, though evening energy fizzles out. Rooms: 9/10: Huge, cosy suites with kitchenettes and twin balconies—we loved it. Food & Drinks: 8/10: Fresh buffet plus standout poolside snacks, drinks menu was solid. Entertainment: 5/10: Daytime games are a blast, but the nightly shows skew very child-focused. Pools & Facilities: 7/10: Clean and varied pool areas, heated pool gets busy, gym and spa look great. Value for Money: 6/10: Comfortable stay but pricier than some nearby alternatives. Service: 7/10: Always helpful and friendly—made our visit smoother. Until next time, keep exploring and celebrating love in all its forms! 🌈! TikTok Instagram [...] Read more...
We absolutely felt at home at BlueSea Costa Teguise Gardens – no awkward moments, no judgment, just sun, pool-side cocktails and new friends. For £202 pp (five nights, room-only), plus a €25 airport taxi and £144.63 return flights, we soaked up Lanzarote’s March sunshine without breaking the bank. Our one-bedroom apartment was basic and dated (think 1990s décor), but clean, liveable and came with a kitchenette and balcony. Aside from a faint sewer smell in our block, everything was fine. The buffet food was fresh and varied, the pool atmosphere sociable, and nightly entertainment (bingo, quizzes, drag shows) kept things lively. Below we break it all down – costs, rooms, vibes, nearby fun and insider tips. Inclusivity & Atmosphere We never once felt anything less than welcome as an LGBT couple; zero awkward looks or comments. The vibe was laid-back yet sociable: we made friends pool-side, swapped travel tips over sundowners and truly felt part of the gang. If you’re after a resort that embraces diversity without fanfare, this fits the bill. Accommodation & Comfort Room & Décor Our one-bedroom apartment came with a kitchenette, small lounge and balcony. Decor was very dated (floral curtains, pastel tiles – straight from the ’90s), but everything worked and housekeeping kept it spotless. The only hiccup was a sewerage smell in our block; it didn’t affect other areas, so for a short stay we just cracked a window and carried on. Bed & Basics The mattress was firm – perfect for Kasia, a bit stiff for Jasmine, but overall comfortable enough. Air-con wasn’t standard in rooms (ceiling fans only), so pack light pyjamas if you run hot. Wi-Fi in rooms was free and surprisingly reliable. Food & Drinks Buffet Highlights All-inclusive guests enjoy buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner in the large, basement restaurant (yes, it’s downstairs – there’s a lift). We loved the fresh salads, local fish and abundance of fruit, plus an ice-cream machine that kept us cool at dinner. International options (pasta, rice, stir-fries) meant everyone found something they liked. Value for Money Even room-only rates benefit from low-cost cocktails at the pool bar (€3–€4), so eating on-site doesn’t feel like a waste. If you do venture out, Playa Bastián’s beachfront cafés serve paella and sangria at similar prices. Pools, Gardens & Grounds Main Pool & Cabanas The central outdoor pool is well maintained, lined with loungers and parasols. We preferred to hang by the bar end, where music carried over and we could join the smoking-section chats. For a quieter vibe, the surrounding gardens have cabanas perfect for reading or napping in the shade. @2week_adventures Part of the budgeting series, we booked the cheapest All Inclusive in Costa Teguise Lanzarote. Thankfully, our new friends improvised pool games and impromptu chats kept boredom at bay. Evening shows (bingo, quiz nights, one standout drag performance) kicked off around 9 pm and ran for about an hour. @2week_adventures We had an absolute BLAST! @BLUESEA Hotels Costa Teguise gardens was a great trip. Insider Tips Sunbed Strategy – Poolside spots vanish by 9 am. If you crave shade cabanas, arrive even earlier. Basement Buffet – The restaurant is downstairs; use the lift or be prepared for a short staircase. Local Eats – Pop to Buddy’s Bar (5 min walk) for excellent gay-friendly vibes and budget bar bites. Beach Hop – Playa Bastián is a 10-min stroll; rent snorkel gear and explore the calm, clear waters. Airport Shuttle – Pre-book a taxi at €25 to avoid airport haggling; it’s faster and nearly as cheap as the bus. Nearby Attractions Pueblo Marinero (1 km): César Manrique–designed square with cafés, shops and evening bars Timanfaya National Park (20 km): Volcanic landscapes; guided coach tours from €24 pp Costa Teguise Golf Course (3 km): 18-hole, volcanic-backdrop course for under €50 green fees Ratings: Inclusivity & Atmosphere: 7/10–You felt completely at ease, seamlessly integrated with fellow guests, and experienced zero awkward moments—just friendly smiles and good vibes all around. Rooms: 3/10–The one-bedroom apartment was clean and functional, but the ’90s decor felt tired and the intermittent sewer smell was a definite downside. Food & Drinks:5/10–The buffet offered fresh, varied options—including plenty of local dishes and an ice-cream machine—and bar cocktails were great value. Entertainment: 4/10–Evening bingo, quizzes and a fun drag show provided some laughs, but the complete lack of daytime activities left long daylight hours feeling under-serviced. Pools & Beach: 7/10–The main pool and surrounding cabanas were well kept, with a lively bar-end vibe and quieter garden nooks—perfect for mixing social time with chill-out moments. Accessibility: 8/10–Lift access to the basement restaurant, level walkways and pool-area ramps made getting around effortless—ideal if you need step-free routes. Service: 6/10–Staff were consistently friendly and helpful, making check-in, orders and general enquiries a breeze the only real downside was when they refused to open the inside bar when it rained, meaning we had to accept getting wet or no drinks. As an LGBT traveler, choosing a resort can be a bit of a gamble. Some places openly advertise inclusivity, while others are more subtle. Titanic Deluxe Lara in Antalya, Turkey, falls into the latter category. While not specifically an LGBT resort, it’s listed as “LGBTQ & gay friendly” on some travel sites, which set the expectation for a welcoming stay. First Impressions From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was a luxury resort with a striking aesthetic. The ship-inspired design, grand entrance, and well-manicured grounds were impressive. With 561 rooms, multiple pools, and a sprawling beachfront, it’s certainly a place that caters to all kinds of travelers. Check-in was quick and efficient, and the diverse mix of guests gave the impression of an international and generally open-minded environment. There was no explicit LGBT presence, but we felt comfortable enough from the start. The Room – Seaview with a Touch of Wear We opted for a Seaview Room, which turned out to be one of the best choices we made. Waking up to the ocean and enjoying a sunset drink on the balcony was a highlight of our stay. The room itself was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a 55-inch LED TV, minibar, and air conditioning. However, some furnishings were a bit worn, and it felt like an update wouldn’t go amiss. For those looking for a higher-end experience, there are Junior Suites and Swim-Up Rooms, but for us, the view was the real winner. Dining & Drinks – Plenty of Choice One thing Titanic Deluxe Lara does well is variety. The main buffet restaurant had a strong selection, though, like most buffets, it could get repetitive. We tried the Italian à la carte restaurant, which was a nice change of pace with well-prepared dishes. With seven bars, grabbing a drink was never an issue. The poolside and beach bars were great for casual cocktails, while the nightclub offered an energetic vibe for those looking to party. While there wasn’t any LGBT-specific entertainment, the crowd was mixed enough to feel comfortable. Facilities & Entertainment – Plenty to Do The resort has enough facilities to keep anyone busy, whether you’re into fitness, relaxation, or just lounging by the pool. Some standouts: Private beach with cabanas – Available for an extra charge, but worth it for privacy. Multiple pools, including an aquapark – The main pool is huge and divided by bridges, making it feel like different sections. Spa and wellness center – Great for massages or a Turkish bath experience. Sports facilities – Tennis, football, and volleyball courts are available. Fitness center and classes – Yoga, Pilates, and even aqua aerobics. Evening shows – Live performances and themed events, though nothing explicitly LGBT-focused. For an all-inclusive resort, the range of activities was impressive, and we never found ourselves bored. LGBT Considerations – Welcoming, but Be Mindful While Titanic Deluxe Lara is not an LGBT resort, we never felt uncomfortable. That said, Turkey is still a conservative country, and public displays of affection might attract unwanted attention. Some things to keep in mind: PDA is best kept subtle – While we didn’t experience hostility, we were mindful of our surroundings. Explore Antalya for LGBT nightlife – The city is about 15 miles away and offers a few LGBT-friendly spots. Booking a cabana adds privacy – A great option if you want to avoid the crowds. Engage in group activities – We found joining entertainment programs a great way to meet open-minded travelers. Guest Experience – Mostly Positive Here’s a quick summary of what we and other guests experienced: ✔ Food variety was solid – Buffet could be repetitive, but à la carte was great. ✔ Staff was generally friendly – Though service was inconsistent at times. ✔ Facilities were top-notch – Pools, gym, spa, and sports were all excellent. ✖ Rooms could use an update – While comfortable, some areas felt a little tired. ✖ Sunbed competition is real – If you don’t claim one early, good luck! Final Verdict – A Good Choice with Some Caveats Titanic Deluxe Lara delivers on luxury, facilities, and food. It’s not an LGBT-specific resort, but it’s welcoming enough for those looking for a relaxing and inclusive holiday. If you’re after an openly LGBT-focused experience, Antalya city might offer more options. Would we return? Yes, with the right expectations. It’s a fantastic resort, but small improvements could make it even better. Ratings: Accommodation: 8/10 Food & Drinks: 9/10 Facilities & Activities: 9/10 Entertainment: 7/10 LGBT-Friendliness: 7/10 Overall Experience: 8/10 If you’re looking for a luxury beach resort with a mixed and international crowd, Titanic Deluxe Lara is a solid choice. Just be prepared to grab a sunbed early! Until next time, keep exploring and celebrating love in all its forms! 🌈 TikTok Instagram [...] Read more...

As an LGBT couple, we’re always on the lookout for destinations that offer a welcoming atmosphere, great amenities, and a chance to unwind. Our recent stay at HD Resort Lanzarote was a bit of a rollercoaster—there were moments of pure bliss and others that left us scratching our heads. While the resort has some standout features, there’s definitely room for improvement. Here’s our honest take on our stay. Inclusivity & AtmosphereFirst things first: we felt completely welcome as an LGBT couple at HD Resort Lanzarote. The staff were friendly and respectful, and we never felt out of place. The resort has a relaxed vibe, which we appreciated, but it was missing something crucial—energy. There was no music playing throughout the day, which made the atmosphere feel a bit flat. For a resort that markets itself as lively and fun, this was a let-down. The RoomsThe rooms at HD Resort Lanzarote were a definite highlight, especially if you’re lucky enough to snag one at pool level. These rooms come with almost guaranteed sun loungers right outside your door, which was a game-changer for us. The rooms themselves were spacious, clean, and functional, with modern décor and comfortable beds. We loved the little balcony, which offered a great spot to unwind with a drink and take in the views. Food & DrinksLet’s start with the positives: the restaurant space is huge, so you never feel cramped, and the sun beds are incredibly comfy—perfect for lounging by the pool. However, the food itself was a mixed bag. Breakfast was particularly disappointing. There were no fresh omelettes, which is a staple for us, and the Spanish bacon didn’t hit the mark. The ham also had an odd taste, which was a bit off-putting. The drinks were decent, but availability was an issue. For example, iced tea was on the menu but only available in the restaurant. It felt like the resort was cutting corners in some areas, which was frustrating given the price point. Entertainment & Activities The resort has an activities board packed with daily options, including aqua gym, yoga, and spin classes in the pool, which we really enjoyed. However, other activities were skipped altogether, and there were no announcements or clear information about where or when things were happening. We love playing darts on holiday, but after waiting around to see where it would be set up, we gave up—there was no entertainment team in sight. The lack of daytime entertainment was a real downside. While the evening shows were decent, the daytime felt lifeless. A bit of music or some organized poolside activities would have gone a long way to liven things up. Pools & Beach The pool area was another mixed experience. On the plus side, the sun loungers were super comfortable, and the top deck overlooking the sea was absolutely stunning—perfect for watching the sunset. The heated pool was a lovely touch, especially on cooler days, and we appreciated the effort to make swimming comfortable year-round. However, the pool itself wasn’t the cleanest. It didn’t seem to be tidied throughout the day, and there was no clear place to put dirty cups and plates, which often piled up. The children’s pool doubled as the activity pool, which meant that adult-focused activities often got overrun by kids. This was a bit of a buzzkill, especially when we were hoping for some quiet time. One of the resort’s biggest selling points is its prime location right on the beachfront. The views of the ocean are breath-taking, and having direct access to the beach was a major plus. Facilities & AmenitiesHD Resort Lanzarote has some fantastic facilities, but they’re not without their flaws. The games room, cinema room, and reading area were all amazing—perfect for a bit of downtime. The spa was another highlight, offering everything you could need for a relaxing treatment. The resort is also very accessible, which is a huge plus. There are ramps into the pools and around the complex, as well as lifts everywhere, making it easy for guests with mobility issues to navigate the property comfortably. However, the resort felt like it was showing signs of wear and tear. There was a lot of rush, dirt, and grime in certain areas, which gave the impression that the hotel is falling into a state of disrepair. The lack of an upstairs bar was also a miss, especially since the upper deck is where most adults tend to hang out. ServiceThe reception staff were super friendly and helpful, which made check-in and check-out a breeze. However, service elsewhere was inconsistent. Dirty cups and plates were left unattended for long periods, and the poolside service could have been more attentive. The VerdictHD Resort Lanzarote has the potential to be a fantastic destination, but it’s not quite there yet. The stunning views, comfortable rooms, heated pool, and standout facilities like the spa and games rooms make it a great choice for relaxation. The accessibility features, including ramps and lifts, are a thoughtful touch that sets it apart. However, the lack of atmosphere, inconsistent service, and subpar food were significant drawbacks. If you’re looking for a resort with a laid-back vibe and don’t mind a few imperfections, HD Resort Lanzarote could still be a good fit. But if you’re after a polished, high-energy experience, you might want to explore other options. Inclusivity & Atmosphere: 8/10 (welcoming but lacking energy) Rooms: 9/10 (spacious and comfortable, especially at pool level) Food & Drinks: 5/10 (limited choice and inconsistent quality) Entertainment: 6/10 (evening shows saved it, but daytime was lacking) Pools & Beach: 8/10 (heated pool and beachfront location are big pluses) Accessibility: 10/10 (ramps and lifts make it very accessible) Service: 7/10 (friendly reception staff but inconsistent elsewhere) Until next time, keep exploring and celebrating love in all its forms! 🌈! As an LGBT couple, we always look for hotels that offer both comfort and inclusivity, and while Hotel Best Negresco in Salou had some high points, it also presented a few unique surprises. This was a special trip for us, a mini-moon before the big honeymoon, and overall, we left with mixed feelings. Here’s the full breakdown of our stay—expect some unforgettable moments, and others you might want to be prepared for! Inclusivity & Welcoming Atmosphere: No Issues, Just Relaxed One of the most important things when traveling as an LGBT couple is feeling at ease. Thankfully, Hotel Best Negresco made us feel comfortable and welcome. We didn’t have any issues during our stay, and the staff were friendly, even though we didn’t have much interaction beyond the basics. The hotel doesn’t necessarily promote a visible LGBTQ+ inclusive environment, but we certainly didn’t feel excluded in any way. The Rooms: Basic, but Cosy Enough When it comes to the rooms at Best Negresco, don’t expect to be wowed by luxury. Our room was clean and functional, though we had a less-than-ideal view (looking out over the back of the hotel, right above the laundry area). Not the dream view we were hoping for, but it was quiet and gave us the space to relax after our adventures in Salou. The decor was basic—nothing fancy—but comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep. Dining & Drinks: The Cheese Toasties & Cocktails That Keep Us Coming Back Okay, let’s talk food. The real winner here is the cheese toasties—honestly, these were so delicious that Jasmine has been craving them ever since we got home! If you’re a fan of comfort food, don’t miss these; they’re the perfect midday snack after lounging by the pool. The hotel also offers a variety of drinks that were mostly good, but here’s the kicker: while the drinks are nice, they’ll try to upsell you on cocktails that end up tasting exactly like the regular ones. So, don’t get too excited about the “fancy” versions! If you’re after something beyond cheese toasties, the buffet dining is decent. It’s not ground-breaking, but there’s enough variety to keep you satisfied throughout your stay. Entertainment: Great Shows, But the Layout Needs Work The evening entertainment was enjoyable! The performances were good and offered a nice variety of acts to keep us entertained. The only downside? The setup made it really difficult to watch. With people standing in front of you, it felt like it wasn’t organized as well as it could have been. Still, the performers did a great job, and it was fun to unwind after a long day. But, during the day… well, that’s where the hotel fell short. The daytime entertainment was basically non-existent, we had aqua gym, a table tennis game and a dart game from memory for a week long trip. We were hoping for some poolside activities or a little more excitement during the day, but there was nothing of note. If you’re someone who needs daytime action, you might find yourself a bit bored here. Pools & Sunbed Drama: The Ruthless Policy Oh, the sunbeds. This was one of the most surprising (and frustrating) aspects of the stay. We’ve stayed at many resorts where you can leave your things on a sunbed and head to lunch or the bar, only to return and find your stuff still waiting for you. Not here. If you left your spot for even a short while, they would take your things away. It wasn’t just a casual reminder to not leave towels unattended—it was ruthless. We’ve never experienced anything like it before, and it definitely added a layer of stress to what should have been a relaxing holiday. On top of that, the pool doesn’t open until 10 AM, and the doors are actually locked until then, so if you’re an early riser like us, you’re out of luck if you’re hoping for an early morning swim. Staff & Service: Friendly, But Nothing Extra We had minimal interaction with the staff, but they were always friendly when we did. While the service didn’t blow us away, it was solid enough. The staff made sure everything was taken care of, but there was no standout service that made us feel extra special. They were polite and helpful, but we didn’t feel like they were going out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. Location: Perfect for Exploring Salou One of the best things about this hotel is its location. It’s just a short walk to local bars and restaurants, so if you like to head out and explore the local nightlife or enjoy a meal out, this hotel is in a prime spot for that. It’s close enough to everything you need, without being in the middle of all the chaos. The Verdict: A Mixed Experience, But Still Worth It In the end, our stay at Hotel Best Negresco was a bit of a mixed bag. We had a great time, but there were definitely some quirks that we weren’t expecting. The entertainment in the evening was fun, though the daytime activities were sorely lacking. The sunbed situation and pool opening hours were a huge downside, but the location and food (especially those cheese toasties) were big wins. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly hotel in Salou that’s in a great spot for exploring, and you don’t mind a few hiccups, then Hotel Best Negresco might just be the right choice for you. If you’re looking for luxury, more consistent service, or a hotel with vibrant daytime activities, you might want to keep searching. Ratings: Inclusivity & Atmosphere: 7/10Rooms: 6/10Food & Drinks: 7/10 (the cheese toasties steal the show!)Entertainment: 6/10 (evening shows good, but layout needs work)Pools & Beach: 4/10 (sunbed policies need serious rethinking)Service: 6/10 (friendly but nothing extraordinary) Until next time, keep exploring, and don’t forget to love in all its forms! 🌈 TikTok Instagram [...] Read more...

As an LGBT couple, we were excited to visit Breathless Montego Bay for our honeymoon. With its reputation for luxury and inclusivity, we hoped this would be the perfect destination to celebrate our love and enjoy some much-needed relaxation. Overall, the trip had its highs and lows, and while it wasn’t flawless, we managed to make the most of it. Here’s our honest review of our three-week stay at Breathless. Inclusivity & Welcoming AtmosphereFrom the get-go, we felt comfortable and at ease as an LGBT couple. The staff was generally friendly, and there was no sense of judgment or discomfort anywhere on the property. It was clear that the hotel welcomed all kinds of love, which gave us peace of mind as we started our honeymoon. We never felt out of place, and for that, we were grateful. The RoomsOur room was spacious and offered a decent view. While the decor was modern and the amenities were nice, we felt that the level of luxury didn’t quite match the hefty price tag—over $5,000 each for three weeks. However, the comfort was there. We especially loved the room service—who wouldn’t want steak delivered through a hatch without the need for human interaction? Pure luxury! The room had a few standout moments, but it didn’t consistently blow us away. Service: A Tale of Two ButlersHere’s where it got a bit tricky. We opted for butler service to ensure our honeymoon went smoothly. We had two butlers during our stay: Eugean and Jeavon. Eugean was absolutely incredible—nothing was ever too much trouble, and she made sure we had everything we needed without a single issue. Unfortunately, Jeavon was the complete opposite. He was often absent or evasive and didn’t seem to want to assist with any requests. Because of this inconsistency, we didn’t get many of the services we’d paid for, like the unpacking service, which was one of the main reasons we booked the butler upgrade in the first place. This was a major disappointment, especially since we were paying top dollar. Drinks & DiningThe dining at Breathless had its moments. The à la carte options were delicious, especially the international offerings—Asian and Mediterranean cuisine were definite highlights. But when it came to drinks, we were left frustrated at times. For example, Malibu was unavailable at one point, and even though certain drinks were listed on the menu, we were told that the bar “never had” them. It didn’t feel like a five-star experience when we were regularly faced with limited drink options. For what we were paying, we expected more variety and consistency. Entertainment & ActivitiesThis was perhaps one of the biggest let downs of our stay. The entertainment on the Breathless side was lackluster at best. We expected fun daytime activities and vibrant evening performances, but that just wasn’t the case. On some days, activities were non-existent, and it was unclear why the planned events didn’t take place. However, things were much better over at the Secrets side of the resort, where the activities seemed to actually happen. If you’re staying at Breathless, we’d recommend wandering over to Secrets for a more engaging experience. On a more positive note, we had a fantastic experience with Ty, one of the entertainment staff members. As someone with autism, Jasmine can sometimes have difficulty navigating certain social situations, but Ty went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable. Her attention to detail and care made a world of difference during an emotional moment, and we’re incredibly grateful for her efforts. Pools & Entertainment The infinity pool was a showstopper—gorgeous views and the perfect place to unwind. The poolside service, however, was a mixed bag. Some days it was great, but other days it felt like we were invisible. We also encountered a frustrating issue at the pool bar, where drinks we had enjoyed one day were suddenly unavailable the next. This lack of consistency really detracted from the overall experience. As for the entertainment, it took place around the pool in the evenings, and while the shows were entertaining in theory, the seating arrangements were far from comfortable. The sunloungers were the primary seating option, which made watching the shows awkward and uncomfortable. We were disappointed that such a basic thing—comfortable seating for entertainment—was overlooked, especially when we were paying for a luxury experience. The Cabana FiascoAnother issue that cropped up was with the cabana service. We had paid for the upgraded service, expecting luxury and exclusive benefits, but halfway through our stay, we were told that the cabanas would no longer be included as part of our package and that they would now come with a fee. The explanation we received was that we would now have a dedicated cabana service staff. But wasn’t that what our butlers were supposed to do in the first place? We felt like we were being upsold in a way that wasn’t fully transparent or fair. The VerdictOverall, our stay at Breathless Montego Bay was not without its hiccups. While we did have some amazing moments, especially with the room service and the breathtaking infinity pool, the inconsistent service, lack of activities, and disappointing drink availability left us questioning whether it was truly worth the price. The butler service, in particular, was a huge letdown, and the resort seemed to struggle with maintaining the luxury experience we had hoped for. Would we recommend Breathless for an LGBT honeymoon? Yes, but with caveats. The inclusive atmosphere was great, and there’s a lot of potential for a memorable stay, but it’s important to go in with realistic expectations. There’s certainly room for improvement when it comes to consistency in service and amenities, but if you’re prepared for a few bumps along the way, you can still have a fantastic time. Ratings: Inclusivity & Atmosphere: 9/10Rooms: 7/10Food & Drinks: 6/10Entertainment: 4/10 (Secrets side saves it!)Pools & Entertainment: 6/10Service: 5/10 (Major inconsistency between staff) Until next time, keep loving who you love and living your truth! 🌈 TikTok Instagram [...] Read more...
As LGBT travel bloggers and vloggers, We are always on the lookout for destinations and accommodations that offer inclusivity, comfort, and a little bit of fun. Our recent stay at Los Zocos in Lanzarote was an interesting experience—one that had its highs and lows. While the hotel had some redeeming qualities, it also left us with a few frustrations. Here’s our honest take on this Costa Teguise resort. Inclusivity & Atmosphere Let’s start with the good news: Los Zocos is entirely LGBT-friendly. As a same-sex couple, we felt completely comfortable and welcomed throughout our stay. There were no awkward moments or side-eyes, which is always a relief when traveling. The staff were genuinely kind and super friendly, always ready to help with a smile. This welcoming atmosphere made us feel at ease, and we appreciated the lack of judgment or discomfort. However, it’s worth noting that the hotel seems to cater heavily to French guests. They have their own dedicated entertainment team and activities, which can feel a bit exclusive at times. While the French entertainment team did try to include others, it was clear that the French guests received preferential treatment. This was particularly noticeable during the nightly entertainment, which often felt like it was designed with them in mind. The Rooms The rooms at Los Zocos are… well, basic. We stayed in one of the apartments, which had a nice layout with a separate living area and kitchenette. However, the decor and furnishings felt very dated and worn. It’s clear that the hotel could use a refresh. While the space was functional, it lacked the charm and comfort we’ve experienced at other resorts. If you’re looking for luxury, this isn’t the place. But if you’re after a no-frills base for exploring Lanzarote, it’ll do the job. Food & Dining Unfortunately, the food was a major letdown. Compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in, the dining options at Los Zocos were subpar at best. The buffet lacked variety, and the quality of the dishes was underwhelming. We found ourselves eating out more often than not, which isn’t ideal when you’ve paid for an all-inclusive stay. If you’re a foodie, this might not be the hotel for you. Entertainment & Activities The entertainment at Los Zocos was a mixed bag. During the day, the activities were repetitive but varied—think shooting, table tennis, beer pong, and the occasional activity day. While it was fun to join in, the lack of originality made it feel a bit stale after a while. The nightly shows were another disappointment. They were pretty boring and didn’t hold our attention for long. What’s more, the entertainment just… stops. The fun of the night dies abruptly, which felt bizarre and left us wanting more.As mentioned earlier, the entertainment is very French-centric, and this can be frustrating if you’re not part of that crowd. While the staff were friendly, the preferential treatment given to French guests was hard to ignore. The Pool The pool area is spacious and well-maintained, but be warned: the water is freezing! This seems to be a common theme in Costa Teguise, so it’s not unique to Los Zocos. If you’re brave enough to take a dip, you’ll enjoy the refreshing chill, but don’t expect a warm, relaxing swim. Amenities & Facilities Los Zocos offers a range of amenities, though some are more impressive than others. Here’s a breakdown: Spa & Wellness: The hotel has a small spa offering massages and beauty treatments. While it’s not the most luxurious spa we’ve visited, it’s a nice option for some relaxation. Fitness Centre: There’s a basic gym on-site with a few cardio machines and weights. It’s functional but could use an upgrade. Kids’ Club: Families will appreciate the kids’ club, which offers activities to keep the little ones entertained. Sports Facilities: The hotel has tennis courts and a mini-golf course, which are great for staying active during your stay. Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, though the connection can be spotty at times. The Verdict Los Zocos is a decent option if you’re looking for a budget-friendly, LGBT-friendly stay in Lanzarote. The staff are lovely, and the inclusive atmosphere is a big plus. However, the dated rooms, mediocre food, and lackluster entertainment make it hard to fully recommend. If you’re French or don’t mind being part of a French-centric crowd, you might enjoy it more than we did. But for us, it fell short of the mark. Ratings: Inclusivity & Atmosphere: 9/10 Rooms: 5/10 Food & Dining: 4/10 Entertainment: 5/10 Pool: 6/10 Service: 8/10 Until next time, keep exploring and celebrating love in all its forms! 🌈 TikTok Instagram [...] Read more...
